Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box

Recently I finished playing Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box on Nintendo DS. I had another post about the previous game of this sequel (Professor Layton and the Curious Village), you can access the post by clicking here. This is the second game of this series in English, there exist other versions in Japanese.

I had fun playing this one too and I think that this one was more successful in some aspects: First of all, some puzzles were better integrated in the game, so that you had to solve some puzzles in order to move on and find answers to some key questions. There was a variety of places: 2 villages and the train. Some characters from the previous game were included. And some extra tasks were added, which you can reach through the menu. The story was also satisfactory. Although at the beginning, I feared that the whole story would play out in the train, later there were changes and surprises.

After the game finishes, you can reach the Bonuses section, where you can try to solve some puzzles that are more difficult. 

The game is rated 8.5 on gamespot.com, whereas The Curious Village is rated 9.0.
